VPN's are used to connect one network into an already existing network. The two most common types of VPN's are site-to-site and client VPNs. Site-To-Site VPN's connect two networks together across x-amount of distance so they act as one large network and is common for small businesses. A client VPN is setup for a single user, or group of users, to remote in to a work network from anywhere in the world.
